The chemical stability of PP material is the cornerstone of its durability. The molecular chain of polypropylene is mainly composed of carbon and hydrogen elements, with a symmetrical structure and no polar groups, which makes it highly inert to common acid, alkali, salt solutions, and various organic solvents. The ability to resist ultraviolet (UV) aging is another highlight of tire pads. Although pure PP is prone to photooxidative degradation under UV irradiation, leading to molecular chain breakage and performance degradation, modern industrial grade Tire Plate products are equipped with efficient UV resistant additive systems. These additives, such as hindered amine light stabilizers HALS, can effectively absorb or quench ultraviolet energy, preventing the occurrence of free radical chain reactions. After undergoing standard QUV accelerated aging testing (such as ASTM G154), high-quality PP bead separators can maintain a tensile strength retention rate of over 85% and a color change (Δ E) of less than 2.0 after 1000 hours of cumulative exposure, fully meeting the requirements for long-term outdoor storage and use of tires.


The thermal oxidative aging performance cannot be ignored. Under high-speed driving or heavy load conditions, the temperature of the tire bead area will significantly increase. Plastic tray needs to have excellent long-term thermal stability. According to the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) test, the initial decomposition temperature of high-quality modified PP materials is usually higher than 300 ℃, which is much higher than the actual working temperature of the tire. After continuous treatment in a hot air aging chamber at 150 ℃ for 7 days, the decrease in impact strength is usually controlled within 15%. This excellent thermal oxygen stability ensures that the partition maintains the necessary elasticity and resilience throughout the entire lifecycle of the tire, without becoming brittle due to hardening and causing breakage during installation or disassembly.
